The tour was set to kick off Tuesday November 19.

US rockers KISS have announced their Aussie tour has been cancelled due to illness.

Earlier this week, doctors advised band member Paul Stanley to rest up after catching the flu. As a result, the Perth leg of the tour was changed slightly and the New Zealand tour was cancelled completely.

“Words cannot begin to convey our massive disappointment in having to cancel our End Of The Road tour of your incredible country,” Stanley said in a statement.

“We waited as long as we could and held out hope to the last minute that my situation would clear up and we would be able to march forward. Doctor’s orders ultimately have taken precedence and finally we now find ourselves with no choice but to surrender.”

Refunds will be issued to ticket holders within the next ten to 15 days. For punters who bought tickets to Supercars Newcastle, the concert portion of the ticket will be refunded.
