Local four-piece Kins have a mini-LP due out on May 20 and a new single, the intriguingly spelt Mockasin’s to promote it – a dreamy but restrained tune that makes much out of the spaces between the notes. The drums are almost metronomic, the guitar notes short and the basslines light as a nursery rhyme. Thomas Savage’s sweet voice holds it all together; a distinctively high sound that falls every now and again in an exhausted swoop. A beautiful, subtle song, full of atmosphere.
