Katie Noonan and the Captains To Tour

Katie Noonan is touring Australia with her new band the Captains in February.

Six-time platinum and multiple ARIA winning recording artist Katie Noonan returned to the spotlight last year with a new album, a fresh sound, and a new band called the Captains.

And this year, Katie Noonan and the Captains will be returning to the road to share this new music with audiences across the nation.

Co-produced by Katie and Grammy Award-winning rock specialist Nick Didia (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Stone Temple Pilots, Powderfinger), the April 2010 release of her Emperor’s Box album was met with much critical acclaim.

The sound of a confident, accomplished artist, Emperor’s Box is a lush and at times muscular affair, captured in the studio by a tight unit clearly at the peak of their form. And of course, Katie’s vocals shine.

Katie Noonan and the Captains’ national tour begins in February, and it will be the last chance in a while to see this band live before Katie embarks on new musical adventures with her trio elixir and classical guitarist Karin Schaupp.

The tour kicks off in Adelaide on February 21, and ends on March 19-20 at the Blue Mountains Folk Festival in NSW.

The band will play at The Famous Speigeltent at The Arts Centre in Melbourne on February 26-27. Tickets are $49.90 and you can book them here.
