North Carolina rapper the Coin Locker Kid worked with Katalyst on a Geoff Barrow (Portishead) project before collaborating on this tune. With snapping horns, skittering drums and a jumping Hammond organ, the Shirley Ellis classic comes spinning back to life. The only real difference is the Coin Locker Kid’s mumbling, understated rhyme, which weaves in and around the song in a graceful, funky slide.
