Another preview of the forthcoming Katalyst album, Impressions. Ready To Drop has a snaky synth riff that verges on a Middle Eastern bazaar sound. The beats are rubbery and dub-influenced and Kween G’s rhymes are super bouncy, but it doesn’t hang together very well. The track feels too tightly wound, too jagged. The groove is missing.
