Isol-Aid will see 72 artists bringing two days of live music to you.

In the wake of mass gig, tour and festival cancellations, artists are increasingly taking to social media to bring music to fans. This weekend, the Australian music community will come together to host a live streamed music festival on Instagram.

Dubbed a “socially (media) distanced music festival”, Isol-Aid will see 72 musicians each live streaming a 20-minute performance from their home, studio or wherever they may be before tag teaming the next act.

Rather than running between festival stages, you’ll be bouncing between accounts as musicians from across the country explore new ways to continue performing for fans.

Taking place across two days, the Instagram music festival will feature sets from Julia Jacklin, Stella Donnelly, Angie McMahon, Harvey Sutherland, Alice Skye, Didirri, Merpire, Alexander Biggs, Romy (RVG), Good Morning, Ainslie Wills, Hayley Mary, Spacey Jane, Yours Truly, CLEWS and loads more acts.

While access to Isol-Aid will be free, the musicians involved are encouraging viewers to buy their merch and music or donate in lieu of purchasing a ticket. Links will be in the artists’ Instagram bios.

Isol-Aid is happening on Saturday March 21 and Sunday March 22 on Instagram. Find out more here.
