It’s not all bad news, though.
For the past 16 years, Friday mornings at triple j have seen acts coming into the studio to perform an original track and a cover live on air as part of the station’s beloved Like A Version segment.
This morning, triple j announced they’ll be putting Like A Version on hold for the foreseeable future as a result of the station’s newly instated health and safety guidelines.
It’s not all bad news, though. For the time being, breakfast hosts Sally and Erica will be dipping into the archives to replay some of the best Like A Versions from across the past ten years.
Each week, they’ll pick a year from the decade just passed and two Like A Versions that took place that year. From there, listeners can vote on which one they want to hear.
With no shortage of killer covers to select from, this could make for a pretty fun walk down memory lane.
