The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art will tonight open Joseph Kosuth’s (Waiting For -) Texts for Nothing.
An American conceptual artist, Joseph prides himself on exploring the nature of art, rather than just creating art. “The value of particular artists after Duchamp can be weighed according to how much they questioned the nature of art,” he has famously reflected.
True to this, his work tests the boundaries and is quite self referential.
Opening at 6pm today, Monday December 20, and running until 8pm, this exhibit is completely free and open to everyone who is interested in seeing it.
