Calling all art lovers: Glen Eira City Council has dropped its July–December 2026 Arts Guide, and it's stacked with fun.

The free Glen Eira guide showcases everything from gallery exhibitions to live music, food festivals and family-friendly celebrations happening across the municipality over the back half of the year.

Glen Eira Gallery will host a rotating roster of exhibitions, including Creative Currents from the Glen Eira Cheltenham Art Group, the Youth Art Exhibition: Chaos in Colour, and Fabulous 70s: A Celebration of Melbourne Fashion. Each exhibition puts a different spin on creativity, from emerging local talent through to a nostalgic look back at one of fashion’s boldest decades.

Beyond the gallery walls, the program features free live music through the gallery’s popular Live Sunday Sessions, plus cultural food and storytelling experiences like Baklava and Blintz and the Diwali Festival of Lights.

Long-running favourites Groove and Graze and Carols in the Park also return, rounding out a calendar built to bring neighbours together and celebrate everything that makes the area tick. There are also history tours, gallery floor talks and hands-on workshops scattered throughout the program, giving locals plenty of ways to get involved beyond just turning up to watch.

The guide is free to pick up from Glen Eira Libraries, Glen Eira Gallery, the Glen Eira Service Centre, and local shops and cafes around the area, or it can be browsed online for anyone keen to start planning ahead. Council says the program has been designed with every age group, interest and budget in mind, so there’s no excuse not to find something worth circling on the calendar.

Whether it’s a quiet Sunday gig, a deep dive into 70s fashion history, or a full family day out at one of the festivals, the guide is meant to make it easy to discover what’s happening close to home. With food, music, history and art all sharing the spotlight, Glen Eira’s second half of 2026 is shaping up to be a busy one for anyone keen to get out and explore their own neighbourhood.
