The film draws from recent events occuring in China and is a provocative look at contemporary Chinese society, one grappling with political and economic change and the contradictions this brings to their way of life. Four protagonists, from four different provinces across China are pushed to their limits in the face of inequality, corruption and the desire for their voices to be heard.
A Touch Of Sin is in competition for the Palme d’Or and has already won Best Screenplay at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
