Jebediah And The Vines Launch National Youth Week

Two great bands launch Australia’s biggest youth event.

The Vines and Jebediah will come back from the ’90s to perform in a great show to celebrate National Youth Week

The live concert will feature not only these two great bands but also the National Youth Week ambassadors, including Faustina (Fuzzy) and Dylan from Video Hits, Callum Hann from Masterchef, Ashleigh Brewer from Neighbours and Maddy Madden from Generation One.

There’s going to be a second stage for hip hop dancing, comedy acts and artists. It’s all to launch National Youth Week which is Australia’s biggest youth event and happens all over the country from April 1-April 10.

There are lots of ways you can get involved including the National Talent Competition, which asks you to RockIT, WriteIT, SnapIT, ShootIT or DesignIT to win some pretty sweet and expensive prizes.

Not to mention that they’re also giving away 32GB iPads in their Free Stuff competitions. Just giving them away like candy to children! Seriously! You just have to answer some poll questions in 25 words or less. We entered… because we want an iPad for our fridge to have an internet fridge.

You’re also encouraged to plan your own event and get involved with all the great things going on – you can find out more at their website.

The live launch concert happens at Birrarung Marr on Saturday April 2 from 12.30pm – 4pm. It’s free!

You’d better get invovled – young people are taking over the world. I mean, they know all the days of the week already, and they’re incredible songwriters… right? Right?

Yeah maybe she’s not the best example. She sure does know what day it is though. Oooh, Rebecca Black, how you have taught us great things.
