Three Melbourne guys have created a whole new craze … of fighting with cardboard?
Ever had the urge to dress up in cardboard armour and fight people with cardboard weapons? No? Well three Melbourne guys got bored one day and decided to do just that.
Now, with the help of Michael Parisi Management and Aloha Management, the small backyard game created by friends Hoss Siegel, Josh Spiegel and Ross Koger has become an artistic movement known as Boxwars.
From armour and castles to incredibly detailed sculptures, props and high fashion the trio (who seem to have a little too much spare time on their hands) have gained a cult following that extends internationally, particularly in Canada and Scotland.
Boxwars don’t only host stand-alone battles, but are also featured at a number of events including Stereosonic and Big Day Out.
Check out the mini-documentary below to see some of the battles in action. If you want to join in sometime you can keep updated on their website.
