This tour marks King Brothers’ first Australian appearance since 2016. Known for their incendiary live shows and unique fusion of barbed-wire blues with toxic punk rock, the band promises an unforgettable experience.
Their performances, characterized by their trademark black and white suits, are legendary for their explosive energy and chaotic intensity. As they take the stage, audiences can expect a whirlwind of guitars, vocals and drums crashing into their eager fans with unrelenting force.
Formed in Nishinomiya, Japan, in 1998, King Brothers quickly gained international acclaim for their genre-defying sound. Their raw and potent style caught the attention of punk blues icon Jon Spencer, who produced their work.
With releases on EMI Japan and the esteemed In The Red label in the US, their reputation grew rapidly.
Described as “the sound of the Germs backing Howlin’ Wolf with his hand caught in a garbage disposal,” King Brothers shared stages with notable acts like the White Stripes and the Strokes and performed at renowned festivals including Fuji Rock Festival, Goner Fest and the Meredith Music Festival, where they left a lasting impression in 2007.
Next month, the band will bring their high-octane shows to Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane and Sydney, performing a mix of fan favourites and new material.
