A good early effort from Brisbane four-piece Jakarta Criers, sincere and energetic. The band cites Birds Of Tokyo and Something For Kate as influences, and their melodic rock is similarly throaty and prone to moody eruptions, but less mature. Their songwriting is derivative and too straightforward, in the way young songwriting can be. They have potential.
