Time to binge.

We’ve somehow managed to survive winter’s icy grip and while everyone is surely ready to embrace the sweet kiss of much-needed sunshine, there are still some chilly days ahead. So when it’s a bit too cold to venture outside and soak up some Vitamin D, Netflix has some exciting new offerings to keep you entertained while you cosy up indoors.

The Politician

Politics is a cutthroat world, that’s no secret, yet as Payton Hobart (Ben Platt) is about to discover, no political landscape is quite as treacherous as the student body council election. Hobart’s path to success begins with being elected student body president, and he’s determined to get to the top no matter who he has to step on. Starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch and Lucy Boynton, The Politician looks to be the kind of satirical, high school comedy-drama we all need in our lives.

It’s coming to Netflix on Friday September 27.

Unbelievable

Inspired by the Pulitzer Prize-winning article ‘An Unbelievable Story of Rape‘ and the This American Life radio episode ‘Anatomy of Doubt’, Unbelievable is the next crime series to sink your teeth into. Based on true events, the limited series follows a young teenager, Marie (Kaitlyn Dever), who reports her rape before eventually retracting the statement while two detectives (Toni Collette and Merritt Wever) in another state are investigating a string of crimes which may help crack Marie’s case. Good luck trying not to binge this in one sitting.

It’s coming to Netflix on Friday September 13.

Between Two Ferns: The Movie

You may remember Zach Galifianakis’ Funny or Die series Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis, a mock low-budget public-access TV production in which Galifianakis conducted cringe-worthy interviews with celebrity guests like Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron and Barack Obama. Over a decade since the web-series hit our screens, Galifianakis and director Scott Aukerman have reunited for Between Two Ferns: The Movie. How the program will translate into a film format is yet to be seen, but you can guarantee there’ll be laughs no matter what.

It’s coming to Netflix on Friday September 20.

Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates

We’ve seen countless books, documentaries and biopics about Steve Jobs, the man behind Apple, yet the story of Bill Gates – once the richest man in the world – has largely been left untold. In a three-part documentary, Inside Bill’s Brain: Decoding Bill Gates will dive into the mind of the tech visionary behind Microsoft. Drawing on interviews with Bill and Melinda Gates, as well as those close to him in life and business, the documentary will explore Gates’ contributions to the tech world and his philanthropic efforts.

It’s coming to Netflix on Monday September 9.

Disenchantment Part Two

Part one of Disenchantment left us with a cliffhanger and possibly the last laugh from Princess Bean’s (Abbi Jacobson) lovable sidekick Elfo (Nat Faxon). While we may have seen the last of Elfo – or, perhaps not – there’s definitely more mayhem around the corner for Bean and her personal demon Luci (Eric Andre). Rumour has it, there’ll be even more recognisable voices coming to Disenchantment’s mystical, medieval universe for this instalment, too.

It’s coming to Netflix on Friday September 20.
