Esport powerhouse DreamHack will take over Melbourne Park in April to showcase the best the digital gaming industry has to offer.

Move over music, there is a new type of festival in town. This April, world-renowned DreamHack is set to invigorate Melbourne’s inner-east with what is promised to be a button-mashing frenzy, uniting gamers across Australia and beyond.

DreamHack, a Swedish-born festival celebrating everything gaming, arrives in Melbourne Park and will take place from Friday, April 26 until Sunday, April 28.

The weekend will draw fans from across Australia to experience a variety of video game-based events, including the ESL Challenger throwing down the gauntlet against the best teams Counter-Strike 2 has to offer. However, the event promises much more than a showcase of the world’s best gaming (of which they obviously have in spades).

The festival will include live music, screenings, art, activities, cosplay competitions and more. Headlined by the Circuit Oceania Grand Final for League of Legends, DreamHack Melbourne will not only be bundles of fun, but will also present genuine stakes for the global esports community.

DreamHack’s incredible Artist Alley will be a prominent feature, showcasing and celebrating artworks of game lovers and enriching the community-based atmosphere that only Melbourne could provide. If you’re interested in showcasing some of your own wonderful art, more information can be found here.
