The evening will be highlighted by the Australian debut of LA-based electronic group Tropic of Cancer, looking to divulge into ulterior consciousness as they play live to heartbeats.
Also featuring on the night will be a cardiophonic symphony composed of hundreds of audience heartbeats and voices and a performative heartbeat synching exercise ensconced in Unconscious Collective’s revolutionary moon-age Hypnapods beanbags.
Sydney-based sound artist Gail Priest will also be performing alongside a new music project from HTRK’s Jonnine Standish, Queens of the Circulating Library. DJ CS will also be on hand with something pulsating, almost otherworldly behind the decks.
A six-day installation of Unconscious Collective’s Hypnapods will accompany the event running from February 9 until February 14, culminating fittingly into Valentine’s Day.
