Gasworks Arts Park presents a spectacular lineup for Melbourne Fringe Festival 2025, running from 30 September to 11 October with an extraordinary mix of theatre, circus, cabaret, music and interactive experiences for audiences of all ages.

The vibrant arts precinct in Albert Park continues its commitment to creativity and engagement with a carefully curated program spanning both weeks of the festival.

From dark glamour magic shows to intergalactic puppet adventures, Gasworks Arts Park showcases the diverse range of artistic expression that makes Melbourne Fringe Festival such an essential cultural event.

Now You See Me

NICA’s final-year students present 20 unpredictable circus acts in a whiplash ride through human emotion and spectacular acrobatics. The production takes the form of two one-hour shows featuring ten unique artists each, with audiences able to choose half the fun or double the trouble. Feet-first, head-first and airborne, these vivid artists juggle logic and stability with equal parts mischief and mastery.

The debonair Mr Marmalade teams up with Australia’s premier bubble artist Becky Bubble for an evening of dark glamour, cheeky comedy and wicked charm. This adults-only show combines sultry sleight-of-hand with shimmering bubble artistry in a high-style homage to vintage film noir. Expect moody lighting, live illusions and martini-dry humour served with a twist of seductive entertainment.

Super Science Show

Captain Chaos and Super Science answer the question of what happens when science teachers actually perform the demonstrations everyone wishes they would do. The Scientwits have wowed audiences across multiple sold-out festival seasons with their unique interactive and hilarious approach to crazy science, complete chaos and educational entertainment that ignites curiosity in audiences young and old.

World Salsa Champion Mario Acosta-Cevallos presents a powerful one-man cabaret blending Latin dance, original music and raw storytelling. This deeply personal journey explores growing up in a migrant household and embracing truth as a queer Latino performer through song, memory and electrifying choreography. The show celebrates resilience, self-discovery and the courage to walk your own path.

Space Pirates

A high-energy intergalactic adventure for children aged five to 12 featuring pirates, puppets and galactic tunes. When nerdy astronaut Fern encounters a crew of wayward pirates accidentally teleported aboard their spaceship, chaos ensues in this rollicking space-pirate caper. Created with sustainability at its core using recycled materials, the show includes themes of acceptance and embracing difference.

La Folie After Dark

This adults-only aerial circus cabaret showcases sultry beauty and sheer strength as performers take to the air on chains, silks, hoops, flying pole and trapeze. Part of La Folie Aerial Championships, the show demonstrates complete disregard for gravity while leaving audiences in awe of the artistic and athletic prowess on display throughout the 60-minute performance.

Eight strangers travel through Melbourne and the haunting terrain of grief in this bold immersive theatre experience. Tiny Doctors: Happy Lab

A joyful hands-on theatre experience for children aged three to seven where feelings are explored and happiness is literally brewed. Each child receives lab coats and goggles to become Tiny Doctors investigating what makes us feel good inside. The two-part program includes a live musical performance and craft activity where children create their own Sarahtonin Potions to take home.
