From dream pop to jazz jams: Here’s what’s on this month at the Bergy

The newly-unveiled Bergy bandroom has quickly filled up its roster.

It’s a little too easy to be tempted by the mass appeal of the Bergy Seltzer.

With a solid selection of taps, a pool table, a highly respectable list of house rules and a cozy upstairs nook, it’s pretty much perfect for an after work knock-off. Did we mention it’s right by the Beat office?

Keep up with the latest music news, features, festivals, interviews and reviewsΒ here.

Its freshly-debuted bandroom is the last piece of the puzzle. The venue often hosts bands in the front bar, but the intimate space just wasn’t cutting it for some of the more established acts the team wanted to bring in.

And so the Bergy presented a solution: they renovated an old warehouse space next door into a 250-capacity, fully tailored bandroom.

With a solid sound system, two bars and built-in lighting, it’s quickly become a hot spot for touring bands and local favourites. They’re booked up nearly every night.

In honour of Brunswick getting yet another stand-out live music locale, we’re shining a light on what’s going down at the Bergy in the next few weeks. If you see us there, say hi.
