The Winter Blues Festival will mark its milestone 25th edition this July with four days of free live music across Echuca-Moama.
The 2025 Winter Blues Festival will transform the historic port town with performances from some of Australia’s finest blues and roots musicians. Recognised as one of the most affordable festival weekends in the country, the not-for-profit event continues its tradition of offering free entry to all participating venues throughout the four-day program.
This year’s first artist announcement includes a diverse range of acclaimed performers who will help celebrate this significant anniversary.

Among the first wave of artists announced are 19 Twenty, Checkerboard Lounge, Collard Greens and Gravy, Jimi Hocking’s Blues Machine, and Karl S. Williams & Sally Wiggins. What began as a community initiative has grown to attract approximately 20,000 visitors to Echuca-Moama during what was once the quietest weekend of the year for the town. The influx provides a vital economic boost to local businesses, from accommodation providers to cafes and restaurants, highlighting the festival’s value to the regional community.
The Winter Blues Festival’s contribution has been recognised with the Community Impact Award at The Campaspe Murray Business Awards. The event has also received support through the Australian Government’s Revive Live grant program, which helps sustain live music events across the country.
Run entirely by volunteers, the festival offers visitors a range of accommodation and dining options to suit different budgets, ensuring an accessible experience for music lovers in today’s cost-conscious environment.
The Winter Blues Festival has established itself as a highlight on the Australian blues and roots calendar, bringing together established artists and emerging talent in a celebration of live music that continues to grow in popularity and significance.
