An examination of love in the digital age, a moment to love is a comically sad yet brutally honest piece about love and dating in the modern era. It’s a new work from a bold and powerfully original voice in Australian theatre, Vivian Nguyen, who was shortlisted for the Patrick White Playwrights Award for her debut play Thin Threads.
a moment to love is a 45 minute, blistering one woman show that’s premiering as part of this year’s Melbourne Fringe Festival. It’s on at The Motley Bauhaus’ Black Box Theatre for a season of seven performances from October 3 until October 9.

Recently shortlisted for the SBS/Screen Australia’s Emerging Writers Incubator Program, Vivian Nguyen’s works delve deeply into race and class struggle. She has performed at the acclaimed Meat Market, Theatre Works, fortyfivedownstairs and Rising Festival. With an extensive and impressive resume across theatre and screen, she is an alumnus of Melbourne Theatre Company’s First Stage Program, Australian Theatre for Young People, Malthouse Theatre’s Besen Writers Group, Theatre Works She Writes Collective and Footscray Arts RESIDENCE program.
