When you rack up over two million monthly Spotify listeners, Australia starts looking pretty appealing.
Florida indie outfit flipturn are making their first Australian trip this December, hitting Corner Hotel on 4 December as part of their Burnout Days tour. The Jacksonville five-piece have been building momentum since 2017’s Heavy Colours, and their latest album represents a decade of work distilled into one collection.
They’ll be joined by Melbourne’s The Tullamarines for what marks their debut on Australian soil.

Flipturn’s catalogue spans tracks like August, Sad Disco and Swim Between Trees, showcasing the band’s knack for atmospheric indie pop that’s earned them attention across the US indie circuit. Burnout Days landed earlier this year as their most collaborative effort yet, pulling together years of touring and writing into a cohesive statement.
The record follows their established formula of hook-driven indie rock while pushing into more introspective territory. Beyond their Melbourne date, the band will play Brisbane and Sydney plus two appearances at Rolling Sets Festival.
