SLOMO at Bar 303

This week probably has you feeling like you’re moving in slow motion, with all the public holidays making Friday feel like Monday, and what better way to pull yourself out of the sludge with Preston grunge outfit SLOMO. They’ll be launching their brand spanking new cassingle ‘Then I Said’ alongside sets from Winternationale and Tina Growls at Bar 303. It’s going down from 7pm on Friday April 26, $5 entry.

Kinematic at Red Betty

Playing their second album The 38th Parallel in its entirety, Kinematic return to the stage of their favourite Melbourne venue following a brief hiatus. The Mansions will be there to help kick things into gear. It’s going down from 8pm on Friday April 26 and entry is free – meaning you’ll have more coin to burn at the bar.

ReGenerationX – Indie Party Night at Swamplands

Don your double denim and get ready to party like it’s 1990, because Swamplands are throwing a retro indie party with ReGenerationX. There will be wall to wall ’80s and ’90s bangers for you to sing your heart out to, ranging from Oasis and Pixies to REM and The Dandy Warhols. It’s happening on Saturday April 27 from 7:30pm. Free entry.

Nick Cunningham at Compass Pizza

Byron Bay-based singer-songwriter Nick Cunningham is bringing his acoustic folk-pop tunes down south this weekend. Nominated as one of Byron’s best emerging folk talents, Cunningham has performed on stages at Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival and Bluesfest and now you’ll have a chance to see him practically at your doorstep. He’s playing on Saturday April 27 from 8pm. Tickets are $10+BF.

SNAJ at Edinburgh Castle

Instrumental drum, bass and sax trio SNAJ will have you moving your feet when they hit Edinburgh Castle on Saturday April 27. Playing with time signatures to create unique melodies dripping with groove and sass, a SNAJ set is a party through and through. It’s kicking off from 5pm and it won’t cost you a thing.
