Five Favourite Covers with Walk Off The Earth

Somebody That I Used To Know– Goyte: This was the first song that I heard on the radio in years that truly excited me. I  had it on repeat for two days straight. We knew that this was the song to pair with our five peeps – one guitar idea. I’m not positive, but we may have been right.

Shape Of You– Ed Sheeran: We had never covered a Sheeran song and felt it was past due. The song fit perfectly with the boomwhackers idea we had laying around.

Royals– Lorde: The musical sparseness and simplistic production of this song was perfect for our rotating ukulele idea. Obviously the song was outrageously original and that tweaked our nipples.

Hello– Adele: The song is a banger – ee knew it from the first listen. The repetitive four-chord progression worked perfectly with our Whippy Tubes.

Closer– Chainsmokers: Our friend and local Toronto musician/DJ Shaun Frank actually wrote this song. So we knew about it before it became a hit. We had a feeling it would blow up so we did a version.
