Emerging MC from Melbourne’s inner north, 01.EKKA, has revealed a new single. Titled ‘Leased Affection’, the track follows a relationship from its peak to the breaking point and beyond, where the brokenhearted rapper is left to pick up the pieces.

Backed by a melancholic melody interwoven with vocal samples and rhythmic beats, ‘Leased Affection’ is instantly catchy yet full of raw emotion.
Broken up into three chapters, the single sees 01.EKKA flex his lyrical flow as he riffs on love and how relationships can consume us.
The single release comes hand-in-hand with a cinematic film clip shot by videographer Tomise.
Premiered via BODYBAGMEDIA, the self-directed film clip follows the narrative of ‘Leased Affection’, documenting the demise of a relationship.
Featuring emphatic scenes depicting a tumultuous relationship shot at various recognisable Melbourne locations, the aesthetically pleasing film clip perfectly mirrors 01.EKKA’s words, adding extra force to the gut punch the track delivers.
