First Nations Wiradyuri and Filipinx artist Mo’Ju creates work that digs deep into themes of identity, belonging and community, making them the perfect fit to front this massive celebration happening across Fitzroy and Collingwood. They’ll be joined by Thandi Phoenix, who’s making the trip back from the UK especially for the party, plus Umbra Moon, Kevin Silvester and Armana Khan rounding out the lineup.

This street party wraps up months of regional pride events run in partnership with Midsumma, Australia’s leading LGBTIQA+ arts and cultural organisation. It’s all part of a $6.8 million investment from the Victorian government aimed at supporting pride events across the state and building communities where everyone can live freely and authentically.

Thousands of people flock to Pride Street Party each year, making it one of Australia’s biggest celebrations of equality. It’s become a summer staple, transforming the streets into a massive showcase of the strength, diversity and creativity bubbling away in Victoria’s LGBTIQA+ communities.

Midsumma CEO Karen Bryant reckons the event has cemented itself as a powerful place of visibility, joy and collective belonging, with Mo’Ju’s headlining set promising to take things to the next level.

Mark 8 February in your calendar because this is shaping up to be one hell of a Sunday afternoon across Fitzroy and Collingwood.
