Taste the region’s finest offerings at this award-winning farm.
Hawkes Farm Shop is the ultimate one-stop-shop for everything locally grown on the Peninsula. The family-run Boneo business has the humblest of origins, having its roots in just a few bags of spuds and an honesty box.
The shop now stocks fresh produce from all over the Mornington Peninsula, including, of course, its own award-winning Kipfler potatoes (which you might’ve had the pleasure of sampling at Australia’s premium restaurants).
While many of the region’s farmers and producers supply their goods around the nation, they don’t sell direct. That’s where Hawkes Farm comes in, doing their bit to make local produce available to everyone.

Coming from six generations of farmers, founder Richard Hawkes has community at heart, ensuring everything stocked at the shop is responsibly and sustainably sourced. The Farm even won gold at the Food Tourism 2019 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards.
The Farm Shop’s shelves are brimming with local favourites – Pure Peninsula Honey, Mock Red Hill sparkling juices and Baker Boys bread. But there’s also a rotating stock of rare, harder to find items, including Cape Schanck Olive Estate olive oil, Red Hill Truffles and hazelnuts, Rye Sourdough Co. bread, and Tuerong Farm flour.
The friendly staff serve up fresh Boneo Road Roasters coffee and cakes supplied by the Hidden Kitchen in Tootgarook, while Hawkes’ own food truck whips up strawberry smoothies in the summer, hot soup in the winter, and incredible hand-cut, thrice cooked hot chippies all year round.
A working farm, Hawkes gives the visitor the opportunity to see the pastoral excellence, knowledge and care which goes into producing its high-quality products.
The Farm Shop is open every day from 8am to 5pm, with the Food Truck whipping up its fabulous treats on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 3pm.
