In May last year the venue took to Facebook to announce an indefinite closure, stating that they would be immediately ceasing business.
However, a congolmerate of Melbourne’s music cognescenti have joined forces to reopen the venue. Team members of Abbotsford’s Dr Morse, Aviary Hotel and The Vic Bar have come together and have now confirmed to Beat that the venue will will reopen in mid-March. It will once again host live music, DJs and functions.
Furthermore, Miss Katie’s Crab Shack will move to The Rochester following it’s reopening, in the interim it will remain housed at The Public Bar in North Melbourne.
