Emma Louise is a young singer out of Brisbane who has a tenor in her voice that reminds me of Missy Higgins, although her music is less prosaic and pop-y. She also sounds like Laura Marling. A touring single, released apropos of nothing with Emma works on a debut album, Boy is a warm, low-key tune with a dense landscape of synth notes and a metronomic rhythm. Nice.
