Created by South African artist Aliza Levi, the exhibition includes photographs of over 250 books that Levi has taken. The 19th Century books, which are part of the collection, unconsciously entangle with topics of discrimination and social inequality present within South Africa today. Levi accomplishes this intertextuality through stark imagery and a focus on the book’s titles.
