East Brunswick All Girls Choir just released their new single ‘Essendon 1986’ and to top it off they’ve announced their new album Teddywaddy, set to drop on Friday 29th June.

‘Essendon 1986’ is described by Marcus Hobbs, “The song is about the drudgery lumped upon the working class in order to maintain. I still don’t know who decided we were meant to work 5 days a week between 9 to 5, what monster came up with this concept?”

The title of the album is an ode to front man Marcus Hobbs hometown, suitably the name of it. Teddywaddy is a patch of country in northwest Victoria, and now also the title of the Melbourne ensemble’s long anticipated album. The album is said to be well worth the wait, and the most profound and riotous statement of the band’s career so far.

East Brunswick All Girls Choir will be launching Teddywaddy at Northcote Social Club on Friday July 13 before setting off on tour with Courtney Barnett in August.
