Late 2021 and early 2022 saw dodie embark on an extensive tour across the UK and North America in support of her debut album Build A Problem, with two sold-out theatre shows at the Ace Hotels in LA, a sold-out Kings Theatre in New York, and the UK leg culminating with a triumphant show at London’s Eventim Apollo.
Hot Mess, the latest project from dodie, unpacks the flawed, emotionally erratic, wondrously complex conundrum that is being alive. Featuring singles ‘Got Weird’, ‘Hot Mess’ and ‘Lonely Bones’, the EP is an intimate look into dodie’s world in the period following the release of her 2021 debut album Build A Problem, charting at #3 in the UK.
Further to releasing her debut album, at 27, dodie has already done a lot of living. Some of that has played out online as she made a name for herself as a singer and writer, amassing millions of fans with her disarmingly honest videos and affecting, intimate singing style. dodie has amassed over 1 billion streams to date, with 7 million followers across all platforms, she’s sold out over 100 consecutive shows globally, with performances on Late Night with Seth Myers and Sunday Brunch and has become an ambassador for Depersonalisation charity Unreal.
