The Queen of Burlesque returns with magic-inspired production spanning five Australian cities
Dita Von Teese is bringing new show Nocturnelle to Australia for five dates in August 2026.
The feathers are coming back out. Dita Von Teese, the undisputed queen of burlesque, is returning to Australian stages next year with her brand new production Nocturnelle. The show blends old-Hollywood glamour with theatrical magic and the high-art performances Von Teese has built her reputation on over the past two decades.
Nocturnelle follows Von Teese’s record-breaking Glamonatrix Tour, which became the biggest touring burlesque show of all time, spanning multiple continents over five years. The new production draws inspiration from 19th century magicians, creating what Von Teese describes as a world where sensuality meets illusion. The show features a gender and body-diverse cast of neo-burlesque performers from around the world, continuing Von Teese’s commitment to celebrating different bodies and identities on stage.

Von Teese has spent recent years learning from master magicians and studying vintage magic techniques to create Nocturnelle. The production combines her signature striptease artistry with illusion work, bringing together two performance traditions that rarely share the stage. The show maintains the opulent production values Von Teese is known for while introducing new theatrical elements.
Von Teese has been performing burlesque for over two decades, setting benchmarks for the art form through her work as performer, creative director, choreographer and producer. She currently holds a residency at The Venetian and has sold out venues from Paris to Shanghai, Sao Paulo to New York. Her shows have attracted audiences including Harry Styles, Jean Paul Gaultier, Olivia Wilde, Tim Burton and Pamela Anderson.
The Australian tour stops in five cities across August 2026, with tickets going on sale on 10 November at 10am local time through TEG Dainty. The tour marks Von Teese’s return to Australian stages following previous successful visits that have consistently sold out major theatres across the country.
