From the face-melting guitar solo on The Sorcerer to the breakdown and high energy buildup on Dog On A Leash, their latest album Shockwave is rock in its purest, rawest form.

Devoid of gimmicks, their forth album Shockwave prioritises the talented musicianship of Dead City Ruins as well as the impressive range and influence of Steve Welsh’s vocals. Released this year, the songs of Shockwave blend the lyrical storytelling of Deep Purple with all the energy and presence of Guns n’ Roses into a rock and roll album for the people.

Before the release of their debut album, 2011’s Midnight Killer, Dead City Ruins took Europe by storm – purchasing five one way tickets to the continent where they spend the better part of two years playing support slots before building up to their own headlining festival spots.

Early bird tickets are currently sold out to both Melbourne and Sydney shows, so get in quick because the rest of the tickets are bound to sell out too. Shockwave released on September 16 of this year via AFM Records, a division of Soulfood Music Distribution GmbH and was produced by the US-based Gene Freeman aka Machine.
