The Starman's spirit lives on.

David Bowie’s otherworldly musical Lazarus will be premiering in Melbourne for a brief May/June season at Arts Centre Melbourne.

A joint project between Bowie and Enda Walsh, Lazarus first hit the New York stage in 2015 and was one of Bowie’s final projects before his death. The storyline is based off Walter Tevis’ novel The Man Who Fell to Earth, which featured Bowie in the film adaptation. The musical includes some of Bowie’s classics, such as ‘Changes’, ‘Heroes’ and ‘Absolute Beginners’.

The news was hinted about on Lazarus‘ Facebook page on Tuesday December 11, but fans were left guessing where exactly Thomas Newton would touch down. No word on who will be cast in the Australian premiere yet.
