D.C. Maxwell

New era cowboy, D.C. Maxwell has finally unleashed his debut album ‘Lone Rider’ and to celebrate is embarking on a tour across New Zealand/Australia.

Called “a creative powerhouse who demands to be experienced live,” by UnderTheRadar magazine, “an electrifying, magnetic presence and an off-kilter storyteller,” by Rolling Stone Australia, D.C. Maxwell has been a fast rising star of New Zealand music, with a powerfully original live show.

Hot off the back of a sold-out headline show at Auckland’s Whammy Bar, Maxwell will be performing for the first time outside of New Zealand, in a tour across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne.

Since his debut being backed by a 12-piece band, to his impassioned performance opening for Future Islands at the Powerstation, D.C. Maxwell’s live shows have been the stuff of legend. Now audiences outside of Aotearoa get the opportunity to see what all the fuss is about, and see for themselves if the hype is real.

Accompanying him on the tour will be guitarist Peter Ruddell (Sulfate, Wax Chattels), bassist Louisa Nicklin, and drummer David Harris (Princess Chelsea) in an incredible live band.

September 8th – Ric’s Bar, Meanjin (Brisbane)

September 9th – Vic On The Park, Eora (Sydney)

September 10th – The Retreat, Naarm (Melbourne)
