Everything sounds the same and it’s all rubbish. I don’t mean to pick on Computers Want Me Dead particularly. They’re a competent little synth rock duo from the Land of the Long White Cloud, but their music is virtually indistinguishable from that of Friendly Fires, and Friendly Fires sound like every other synth rock duo on the planet, catering to vapid little Twitters whose fluro-flecked indie garb came neatly packed with their last Happy Meal. People who listen to this kind of music don’t really like music. They like Gossip Girl.
