Headlining this explosive musical affair are American rock sensations Citizen, post-hardcore titans Movements, the emotive powerhouses Touche Amore, and the pop-punk dynamo No Pressure.
They’re all poised to take your breath away in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. Joining these international giants are alternative rockers Fleshwater and the grunge-shoegaze duo Softcult, both making their debut appearances in Australia. Plus, brace yourselves for a slew of homegrown talent that will showcase the incredible might of the modern alternative scene.
Hailing from the United States, Citizen bring a captivating blend of quiet ballads and distorted rock anthems. They’re a band that’s impossible to ignore, having delved into post-hardcore, shoegaze, and pop, delivering their latest album, Calling The Dogs, which marks a resounding rebirth. From their early days playing in local dive bars to headlining festivals worldwide, Citizen’s return is something you can’t afford to miss.
Movements, the Orange County rockers, weave an intimate beauty into their post-hardcore-meets-alternative-rock creations. Their latest album, RUCKUS!, showcases their signature tension-and-release style in a whole new way. Their return to Australia will provide fans with a chance to see them in a fresh light, as they continue to evolve and excite.
With over a decade in the game, Touche Amore have explored themes of angst, alienation, and hope. They’ve matured alongside their releases, and their live performances are nothing short of stunning. From Coachella Festival to touring alongside renowned bands, they’ve solidified their place in the world of alternative music.
Pop-punk outfit No Pressurecrafts earworms that are both familiar and infectious. Their 2022 self-titled full-length album features breakout singles Too Far and Lock it Up, exuding polished production and buoyant melodies. These energetic performers are bound to get the crowd moving.
Fleshwater, formed in 2017, has cultivated a devoted following since their 2020 debut EP Demo2020. With hits like Linda Claire, the band has stepped beyond the underground scene, and their 2022 debut album “We’re Not Here To Be Loved” signifies their arrival on a global scale.
Twin sisters Phoenix and Mercedes Arn-Horn, aka Softcult, have channeled their frustrations into a new creative direction, seamlessly mixing grunge, shoegaze, dream pop, and punk. Their debut Australian performances promise a meaningful message and a mesmerizing live experience.
Each city will also see a host of local talent on the stage. In Brisbane, you can catch Gold Coast screamo band Blindgirls Newcastle’s alternative bright lights Eat Your Heart Out, Brisbane’s emotive punks Bad Neighbour, and Brisbane’s dynamic rock quartet Sunbleached.
Sydney will feature Perth hardcore heroes No Brainer, Western Sydney alt-country punks Amends, and indie rock supergroup Peace Ritual. Melbourne’s own hardcore heavies Born Free, alternative/emo rockers Better Half and post-hardcore-meets-shoegaze metallers Post Heaven will take the stage.
