“Looking for Something is about the journey from attachment to detachment while we continue to search for happiness in life despite our individual challenges,” says Jee of the track.
Anchored by Jee’s buttery voice and evocative lyrics, the song draws influence from 80s and 90s RnB and pop classics. It was recorded and produced by acclaimed Sydney-based producer Tony Cvetkovski from TopCat Music Productions.
Looking For Something is just another gem in Jee’s long and decorated discography. With an interest in music developing after he got his first electric piano at the age of 12, Jee has built a legacy, with chart-topping singles including AEIOU featuring Blue, Undecided and Deep Down.
Named Songwriter Of The Year by the SongsAlive competition in 2017 and by the Australian Songwriting Contest in 2018, his work, exploring love, finding yourself, getting through hardships and the boundaries of human emotion, has attracted the attention of the Australian music industry and won over the hearts of fans from around the world.
With Looking For Something, Jee has solidified his place as one of Australia’s RnB pop ones to watch.
