Cash Savage enlists all-male choir for ‘Good Citizens’ film clip

On the back of their recent album Good Citizens, Cash Savage and The Last Drinks have released a film clip for the album’s title track and rather than trying to get men to sit up and take note of the song’s poignant lyrics on misogyny herself, she has enlisted a choir full of men to drive the words home.

In light of the current state of the country — which is seeing the Government and media turn a blind eye on the domestic violence crisis claiming the lives of one woman each and every week, as well as the systemic injustice being faced by the LGBTIQ+ community as a result of outdated anti-discrimination laws — Cash Savage is turning the spotlight on men, urging them to take her message on board and be a good citizen.

The video clip sees the track stripped back, the all-male choir accompanied by a piano, adding a sombre air to the tune. Check out the film clip below.

In addition to the release of the ‘Good Citizens’ film clip, Cash Savage and The Last Drinks have also revealed news of a second hometown gig on their forthcoming tour after the first Melbourne show sold out. The tour kicks off at the end of November and will see the outfit hitting Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Wollongong and Fremantle.
