Carlton North's Hyphen Spaces brings together artists and makers for January 31 bushfire relief fundraiser.
Carlton North’s Hyphen Spaces is transforming into a community fundraising hub to support Victorians affected by the recent bushfires, with a Bushfire Relief Market and Raffle on Saturday, January 31, from 12pm to 6pm.
The event will feature artisanal products, handmade items, and baked goods donated by local designers, artists, and makers, with all proceeds going to Sikh Volunteers Australia.
Raffle tickets are already on sale at Sleepy’s Cafe and Wine Bar, located next door to Hyphen Spaces at 29 Nicholson Street. Tickets are $3 each or $25 for ten, and can be purchased any time before the January 31 event.

Raffle prizes
The raffle draw at 6pm will feature prizes worth up to $690, including:
- ‘Cola’ canvas artwork by artist Ying Wang (valued at $690)
- $150 dinner voucher for two at Sleepy’s Cafe & Wine Bar plus two cocktails
- 90-minute specialized kinesiology session with Shelby Lily Healing (valued at $195)
- $150 tattoo voucher from @killakilla.ink
- Hand-woven scarf by local artist, activist and filmmaker Christy Chudnosdik
- Set of four hand-woven coasters from Casual Practice

All funds raised will support Sikh Volunteers Australia, whose teams provide free, nutritious meals and essential items to communities impacted by crises throughout Victoria and surrounding regions’ their food van service to deliver support where it’s needed most.
