Cowlishaw, a former Australian Institute of Music student, will be touring with her six-piece band on a nine-date national tour. Paper Mache City, written and recorded while Cowlishaw was living in the US, was born out of the multi-dimensional musical frenzy of NYC. Influenced by legends of the game such as Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor, the album is a collection of stylistically and sonically diverse songs, fusing elements of pop and folk with an underlying jazz language and all its delicacies.
