Cox is returning to Australia in May 2026 with his brand new live show Emergence, promising an epic exploration of the cosmos and the fundamental laws that shape our reality.
Following his massively successful Horizons tour that reached nearly half a million people worldwide, Emergence takes audiences on a journey from the largest structures in the universe to the delicate intricacy of snowflakes.

The show draws inspiration from Johannes Kepler’s 1610 observation of a snowflake on Prague’s Charles Bridge, using this moment as a springboard to explore how complex beauty emerges from simple natural laws. Cox combines cosmology, biology, philosophy and history with state-of-the-art LED screens, sound and lighting to create what he describes as his most ambitious live show yet.
The BBC science presenter, known for programmes like Wonders of the Solar System and The Planets, promises to take audiences from black holes to the structure of the human brain, exploring how a quarter of a million-year-old species managed to decode the universe’s mysteries through curiosity, mathematics and an aesthetic sense of beauty.
