Orphaned baby orangutans and elephants make their IMAX 3D debut in April.

Witness the incredible true story of wild orphan animals and their amazing journey home in the spectacular new IMAX 3D adventure Born to be Wild 3D.

This inspired story of love, dedication and the remarkable bond between humans and animals opens at IMAX Melbourne Museum on April 8.

The film documents orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them – saving endangered species one life at a time.

Narrated by four-time Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, Born to be Wild 3D combines breathtaking IMAX 3D footage of the remote rainforests of Indonesia and the vast deserts of Africa to tell an intimate and uplifting tale of how the power of love can give orphaned baby orangutans and elephants a second chance of life in the wild.

"Born to be Wild 3D audiences will witness the love and dedication of the selfless people who save and care for these endangered animals,” said Richard Morrison, IMAX General Manager.

"You will fall in love with these adorable baby orangutans and elephants on the biggest 3D screen in the southern hemisphere."

Directed by renowned wildlife director, David Lickley, Born to be Wild 3D is a heartwarming adventure transporting moviegoers into the lush rainforests of Borneo with world-renowned primatologist Dr. Birute Galdikas and across the rugged Kenyan savannah with celebrated elephant authority Dame Daphne Sheldrick. Together with their teams, they rescue, rehabilitate and return these incredible animals back to the wild.

Born to be Wild 3D will be released on April 8 at IMAX Melbourne Museum, Carlton Gardens.
