Starting off at the Royal Theatre in Canberra last week Ben Folds and his four piece group of minstrels have been rolling up the east coast, playing to ecstatic crowds at every show. Backed up by Australia’s favourite daughter, Kate Miller-Heidke, the Ben Folds juggernaut has sold out shows in Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane.
Folds’ recent collaboration with Nick Hornby on his album Lonely Avenue saw Folds use Hornby’s lyrics to create an album in a new way.
The result is charming and a treat for any Folds fan. His shows are always impressive and this should be no different, with a good selection of both new and old tracks that will please all the rabid fans.
