Beat’s Burgers of Melbourne: L.A. Burgers

Tell us about L.A. Burgers. The idea for L.A. Burgers came when I was on holiday in Los Angeles for ten days sightseeing, eating burgers and, at the time, looking for inspiration for a business idea. The burger stores I visited were extremely busy and the excitement and anticipation from the customers was contagious. I knew right then I had found my business idea.

Mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard or all? Our cheeseburgers, the Hollywood and the Sunset Boulevard, come with mayo, ketchup and mustard but the trick is to ensure the quantities of each are right. You don’t want one sauce to be too overpowering. They must all work together.

Pickles, or no pickles? We definitely have pickles in our cheeseburgers because a classic American burger must. Of course, if a customer wants to take them out we are more than happy to accommodate any requests.

What’s an L.A. Burgers moment you will always cherish? Our opening day in April this year, when an elderly gentleman came in and was telling me he eats burgers in every city he visits. When he finished his burger, he said it was the best burger he had ever had. It completely put me at ease. I couldn’t have asked for a better opening day.

What is the most ordered burger? Our most ordered burger is the Hollywood with bacon. The Hollywood is our version of the classic American cheeseburger. The Sunset Boulevard is the double patty version and is our second most popular burger.
