Since its inception three years ago, AWME is now renowned as a major international music industry event, giving musicians worldwide new opportunities by engaging music industry representatives from all over the world.

At last year’s event, AWME brought together over 300 musicians, 400 local and internatonal delegates and over 8000 audience members for four days packed with music, workshops, seminars and showcase concerts.

AWME has helped showcasing artists that have performed at the event secure touring and festival opportunities including Glastonbury (UK), Big Chili (UK), Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (Ca, USA), WOMAD, Fuji Rock (Japan) and Sakifo Festival (Reunion Islands). AWME has also helped them land deals with booking agents and record labels locally and abroad.

Over the last few years audiences have witnessed world-class performances by musicians like Blue King Brown, Dan Sultan, Jeff Lang, The Red Eyes and loads more.

But it’s not just the music program that makes this event worthwhile. Each year, high profile local and international delegates from the world’s leading festivals, record labels, booking agencies and arts organisations travel to Melbourne to share everything they know about the industry, develop creative collaborations that cross international borders and establish lasting connections.

Anyone interested in taking part of the fourth Australasian World Music Expo should apply on www.sonicbids.com or www.awme.com.au before Friday April 29.
