British alt-rockers alt-J are coming to Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena as part of the band's national Australian tour.
alt-J have announced The Dream Tour 2022 with shows in Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth kicking off September 2022.
The band are known fans of playing on Australian shores, having written entire songs about Melbourne festivals in the past. They’ll be touring to support their their fourth studio album The Dream (out tomorrow, Friday 11 February) with singles ‘The Actor’, ‘Hard Drive Gold’, ‘U&ME’, and ‘Get Better’.

One of the more successful British alt-rock bands of the millennium, members Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green have released four albums as of tomorrow that, between them, have sold in excess of two million copies and been streamed over two and a half billion times.
The entire tour will be all-ages friendly, with the band stating; “We are bringing The Dream Down Under. It’s been too long since we visited beautiful Australia and New Zealand. See you there in September 2022. Let’s have it.”
