Alex G has today announced a free, all ages and acoustic in-store performance at Sound Merch in Collingwood, Melbourne on Wednesday 6th December at 6pm.

This will be a rare opportunity for fans to see Alex perform an intimate stripped-back set, amidst his sold-out national tour dates and appearance at Meredith Music Festival alongside Caroline Polachek, Alvvays, Floodlights and more.

Keep up with the latest music news, features, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

These Australian tour dates cap off what has been an incredible 2023 for Alex, following sold out tours across the US, UK and Europe, including a co-headline run with Alvvays, in addition to performances at Coachella, Best Kept Secret and Primavera Barcelona festivals.

With the entire tour selling out in less than 3 hours, these shows are hotly anticipated as fans’ first opportunity to see Alex G live since 2018.

Alex Giannascoli released his ninth studio album God Save the Animals in 2022 to praise from critics across the board. Alex followed the album’s release with an entirely sold out headlining tour across the UK, Europe and North America; gave high profile national TV performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and CBS Saturday Morning; and made his debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert.

Ballot Closes Thursday 30th November. Successful Recipients will be notified on Monday 4th December. Enter ballot via Sound Merch here.
