The beloved venue is hosting a bunch of local music legends across the next few months.
Earlier this month, Melbourne’s beloved jazz haunt Bird’s Basement opened its doors for the first time since last March.
Crawling out of its COVID-induced hibernation, the former hub for international jazz acts has revealed a lineup of local talent across various genres, set to take over the venue two nights a week.

The program features an eclectic spread of Australian talent, including Tex Perkins, Matt Walker, Ella Hooper, thando, Renee Geyer, Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows, Kate Ceberano, and The Badloves.
“It is culturally significant that we are embracing live music again in Melbourne, by endorsing performing arts we are endorsing our community and keeping our cultural knowledge alive,” said Bird’s Basement owner, Albert Dadon.
“If lockdown taught us anything it is not to take our performing artists for granted,” he said.
